We installed new bathroom faucets last weekend. It took Mr. Smarty Pants here less than a week to figure out how much FUN these faucets are! The matter is complicated by us taking away unlimited water in this house due to Rebel’s increasing senility issues. This included taking away the Drinkwell fountain. Apparently this has upset Sylvester. No worries! The sink is fun too!
WHAT to do about this??? Haven’t a clue. *sigh*
It’s been so long since I saw him do that I had almost forgotten about it! One day I came home and found the hot water had been on for who knows how long. The bathroom was all steamed up. While I was figuring out what to do I put a piece of tape across the back of the handles. Eventually I changed the handles to something he couldn’t get a hold on. Has he been flushing the toilet too? He did that for a while too. Cat’s too smart for his own good!
Oh no – he does toilets too? Uh oh! He has not caught on there yet. Thank you for proving me right. I was convinced he had done this in the past and this was not a new trick. 🙂 We love our new faucets and it was only a matter of a few days before he did too. :/ It doesn’t help that we have our lab on strict water intake and had to pick up the Drinkwell pet fountain. I actually just cleaned off the bathroom counter and put the Drinkwell on it. Sylvester is currently upstairs snoozing in the sun and I’m waiting for him to come back down. I’m curious to see what he thinks of the Drinkwell being on the counter. We have devised “locks” for the faucets that seem to deter him for now and not really disrupt us too much. Of course we keep forgetting to put them back on! This will work until he outsmarts us again. He certainly is keeping us on our toes!! Everyone sure got a kick out of these videos!
